Week 1, run 2

Recovery run, 4 miles, raining. Slow pace again, struggling to keep up with A. Didn't manage to find my feeling of calm. Legs feel tired. Running again tomorrow - already having doubts about this training plan. Postives - rain jacket is fantastic, very breathable and feels cool. Had some vegetables for dinner (as well as lots of crisps, vodka and madeira). Only one night of drinking left....apprehensive about giving up wine etc... for 16 weeks.

Week 1, day 1

Sleet! and intervals. Horrible run. Positives - didn't give up on the first day of marathon training. Negatives - wet, cold, hard work, pace too slow. Ate a random combination of onion bhaji, fish and potato wedges afterwards, hardly a healthy dinner. Snow didn't settle much after we got back, at least we don't have ice making the pavements hell.
